A gift for my soulsis, (aka "Aisling the Dream Dragoness"), and her mate Jonny (aka "Nameless the Illusion Dragon"), along with a raven clutching their wedding rings as well as a symbolic sun, moon and eclipse. I bought this nifty parchment stationary the other day and just had to try drawing something monochrome and ancient-looking on it (being that I'm heavily inspired by Brian Froud), plus I've really been wanting to draw Aisling's lovely new dragonform ever since she adopted it. (And sis, I took a bit of artistic license on Jonny's char; I know his neck isn't supposed to be that long, but I wanted you two to be roughly symmetrical.)
Edit: Added a huge watermark to this, as it seems to be a very popular image to steal, repost and/or make prints of, to have made into tattoos, to or print on various products (cross-stitch designs, clothing, etc.) to sell on the Net. I have NOT given my permission for ANY of this, so PLEASE STOP IT, PEOPLE!! And if you see this image posted anywhere but in my own galleries (being sold or otherwise), please tell me! And thanks SO MUCH to all of you who have been keeping their eyes open for me regarding theft of my work!!
Wow. The symmetry, the symbolism... It's just...it has a very classical feeling to it, even though it was made in a modern age. Very cool, she's go bananas for it. :3
Beautiful drawing, gorgeous dragons..the lines, the shading, the celtic knots(Those are HARD to draw. oo) all of it. It looks wonderful on that parchment aswell, I'm so jealous of your talents. x3 The symbolism with the rings, moon, and eclipse are awesome too, this is just so pretty. Favorite from me!

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
