Little on the Wylde Side by swandog Little on the Wylde Side by swandog
My art trade with , the lovely demon bunny, looking rather sultry here...I love her mismatched feeties! I was trying to make a contrast between subdued earth tones and bright cool colors, but I think the border and bedsheet might be a bit on the garish side. =P The demon face border itself was borrowed courtesy of *enframed, with his permission (he makes awesome nouveau-type stock borders--go see!), and the pose was borrowed from "The Altas of Foreshortening" book...Anyways, just trying to catch up on my trades; if I owe you one, I WILL get to it eventually, I promise! (I'm just very slow.) Wylde was one of the first artists to ever ask me for a trade years ago and then we fell out of touch for a long time. Her half of the trade may be seen here: [link] :)

(P.S. Should this be labeled as "mature"? You can't really see anything...)

Wylde is a great character, and so hard to do justice to. Luff.

Finally I'm getting to this. I like it alot. The face and details--natural tatoo : ),horns--texture on the fur--the wings in back of the head--hair--hmmm--seams I like just about everything about it. Nice job. Oh--the tail--coming out of the top of the cheeks--like that too. Natural look of a relaxed tail. I know, one of the few that didn't mention the different foot--ah--you heard that enough lol

I never fail to me amazed by your artwork. Honestly- if I could emulate (is in be like, not as in draw just like) any artist, it would be you. You have a combination of talents that makes your artwork very uniquely your own.

I don't usually worry about labeling something mature unless there are pink bits showing.

The background colors seem a little overpowering but overall I love this pic. Great anatomy. :)

Thanks! That is an interesting site. I'll look through it more later on. Did you see my new anthro drawings? Just click on my user icon and they are the first 5-6 pictures in my gallery under "Recent Deviations"
Do you still run that site?

LOL I just noticed your second comment lOL I guess you must have seen them. Yeah I love thylacines ever since I heard of them back when I was still a child, there aren't many anthromorphic thylacines anywhere I think I found three drawings of thylacine anthros lol.
It's such a shame that humans wiped them out tho...

Yep, I browsed your anthro pics--great work! :) And i agree that there isn't enough art of anthro thylacines or megafauna, period! (Tho my RPG is about non-anthros, since I wanted it to be as realistic as possible.) And thylacines may not actually be extinct; there have been many sightings, which have increased over the years, and they found bones in a cave that were more recent than the date they had been labeled "extinct". They also hope to clone the fetus they have preserved. More info here: [link]

Thanks for looking! I am glad you like them! I heard about that, the cloning. Also I have heard about these sightings, but with no real proof, it will be hard to know what is real footage or not nowadays with all the computer technology... I Hope that these sightings have been real and not just stories. There was sightings recently of a canine looking creature that has been spotted near Africa ( ithink) that had similar features to a thylacine, they say it is possibly a new discovery and possibly a species of thylacine. I found the animal that was in the footage reminded me a lot of a giant rat dog lol. I never heard about the recent discovery of bones that may be more recent, where did you hear that?
I love what thylacines look like, they look like rat dogs with stripes and nice tan coats lol. I would LOVE to see a live one.
Around where I live, apparently cougars(Pumas, mountain lions whatever you call them) have gone extinct in these parts of Canada but there have been sightings more recent lately. I might have seen the tail end of one a couple years ago. I forgot you live in Norway, you don't have cougars there lol. I'm sure you know what they are but just in case you don't this is what they look like [link] Oh they are SOOOO pretty, I love them!
They aren't extinct, just on the Eastern part of Canada, but they are all over the Western part of Canada and the USA. Cougars are one of my most favorite wild cats, aside from leopards, tigers and lions.
Anyway I think I've blabbed enough here lol

hey, this is awesome! i don't think the colours are garish at all, though. i think there's a perfect balance of earth and bright tones. and nah, this isn't mature. i think, if there's fur, it's not really considered "naked." and besides, like you said, can't see much. and i love the look of continuity going into the tail. it's not just stuck to her butt like most tails would be shown. and the spade at the end is a very nice touch. =) everything about her head is beautiful also.

This is teh awesomeness! >.<

The anatomy of this piece is incredibly striking! That lapine face, the foot (without pawpads!), the hoof and the wings ... it all looks like one and not like something clumsily combined. Amazing.

What I love most are her horns. They really just look amazing. :D

The only thingy I'd critisize is her booby. The shape looks a bit... disfigured? Like a triangle. *g*
Hm... Pyrmaid.Boobies? *chuckles*

Other than that this is really a stunning piece of work and a breathtaking picture of my most beloved Demon Bunny.

Lol, thanks! XD Yeah, the booby was actually like that on the model herself, so I just left it that way, but it did make me wonder...maybe she normally wears a Madonna-style cone bra? XD

That's the tricky/ mean things about references. They are photos and thus showing reality (in most cases) and so we expect them to be correct, but often enough we get awfully tricked. *g*

Nevertheless it's an incredibly nice piece.
