You've got some impressive control over an x-acto knife. Your cuts are amazingly clean. Can you tell me how big this piece is?

Sorry I didn't answer this sooner; I must have missed this comment...I think this was about 8 inches square, but it's been years since I last saw it, so I can't be certain.

O_O wow...
Do you do that with an exato knife? Is it on a special kind of paper?

Sorry I didn't answer this sooner; I must have missed this comment...Yes, I used an X-Acto knife, and it was cut from parchment paper. :)

Wow! I know from seeing other papercuttings up close what a tedious and time consuming work that is! I am Christian and LOVE this piece! Have you thought about doing it in paint or inks and selling prints??? I know I'd buy one! :giggle:

Sorry I didn't answer this sooner; I must have missed this comment...I sold the original of this a long time ago, so I would be be unable to make prints of it now, but if you really like it, you are welcome to use it as a pattern to make your own. :)

Papercutting? I've never seen anything like that before. If papercutting is something uniquly yours I won't intrude, but if it's a traditional art form I would like to try my hand at it.

Papercutting is an ancient artform, practiced all over the world, so no worries about "intruding"! :D I co-mod the papercutting forum on Yahoo, if you'd like to join: [link] :)

the irony to me favving this is I'm for all intents and purposes pagan. But sometimes I wax nostalgic. =p I love this design, tho. Nice use of Christian iconography.

:eyepopping: You have more talent than I could ever dream of!! :worship: :D But I use normal calligraphy parchment paper with a heavier marbleized or other decorative paper backing that I get at the art/hobby store. One of these days I hope to learn how to make my own marbleized paper tho. :)

Your papercuttings amaze me. All that detail, and all cut out of paper? eek! I'd rip something if I tried.
Very very nice design! And an even better message. =)
